Event Info
DomusBurn is a project of virtual gathering and digital playa experience gifted by the Italian Burners to the international burners community.
This is a free event and a 10 11 Principles Event. We are not officially affiliated with the Burning Man Project, but we are deeply inspired by the ethos and principles of the burners world.
OUR 11 PRINCIPLES FOR A VIRTUAL PLAYA
RADICAL INCLUSION
Our virtual burn is designed for burners, but it’s open to welcome everybody interested in our global cultural movement.
FOREVER GIFTING
This digital gathering is a gift from the Italian Burners community. All the performers, musicians, workshop presenters, organizers, producers, rooms hosts and shift volunteers also gifted their time and talent to co-create this virtual burn.
DECOMMODIFICATION
We have no sponsors and no advertising. Please avoid self promotions, and refrain from displaying logos and brands on the virtual playa.
DIGITAL SELF RELIANCE
Highly interactive web experiences are harsh environments for your computer. When participating to our virtual burn don’t saturate your bandwidth running apps, and make sure to close all other browser windows to enjoy this digital gathering at its best.
TOTAL SELF EXPRESSION
Show up as your true / authentic self, your alter ego, or just how you are. Dress up, dust up, radically playa-fy yourself.
CIVIC RESPONSIBILITY
It’s great to learn, and it’s amazing to party. It’s even better getting inspired and bringing back such inspiration to your default world.
COMMUNAL EFFORT
It takes a big deal of communal effort to organise a gathering, even the digital ones. We welcome all volunteers who want to jump in to help, also at the last moment.
PARTICIPATION
Want to get involved on the creative side? We welcome all brilliant souls who want to share their talents and knowledge through performances, workshops or music.
IMMEDIACY
Don’t get frustrated if you cannot experience everything at our virtual burn. Focus on what gets you inspired, and participate at all times, even in the general chat.
LEAVE A TRACE
Do leave a trace – but only a positive, emotional, inspirational and sustainable one. Please no moop – which in the digital playa translate as no spam, no trolling, no offensive comments and certainly no zoombombing. Let’s have a “clean” burn.
CONSENT
Like consent is required and a form of respect for photography on the playa, please ask the participants in your virtual playa experience before taking a picture or a screenshot.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS FOR A BETTER EXPERIENCE
For a full experience, we suggest to access DomusBurn via a computer, laptop or tablet, not via a smartphone. All computer and Android mobile phones should be OK, but if you are visiting this page from an iOS device (your iPhone) you might have some trouble in visualizing and interacting with the experiences provided by this virtual gathering.
If you are experiencing any problem you can still connect with any of the theme camps / barrios / rooms by using the Zoom app (free download here) by using the alternative links provided on each page.
Everything will happen inside your browser window. If you have a powerful computer with enough RAM (memory) and a solid internet connection, you can keep many pages / rooms / barrios / theme camps / experiences open, but in general we suggest to close all other applications and all other open browser tabs and windows, so you can have enjoy in full the virtual playa experience!
